About
Alexa liked project management. She did not like construction. She had gone into sales after university and then moved into project management at a construction company, where the discipline suited her and the industry never did, and what she wanted was somewhere creative to put it.
Matthew Matlin, a creative director here and a friend of hers, had been describing his work for a while in terms that sounded like exactly that. When a position opened, he thought of her. It clicked during onboarding, when she worked out what kind of company she had actually joined.
This isn’t a marketing agency that happens to take healthcare clients. It’s a narrow discipline, and that’s exactly why the client list looks the way it does.
Alexa Mastrogiacomo
The project she would point a stranger to is the largest one on her desk: original videos, cut-downs, stills and banners, each running on its own moving timeline, which has made it at once the hardest and the most rewarding thing she has worked on. Coming from places where using AI was frowned upon, she has also finally been allowed to put it to work. The science got her in the end, too. On a liver supplement she learned that an antioxidant swallowed as a pill does almost nothing, because the liver has to build its own from a precursor the product supplies. She is now seriously considering becoming a customer.
Away from all of it there is her Persian cat Cappuccino, a Stardew Valley habit she will not defend, and true crime podcasts that frighten her every single time.
